21 December 2011 - Looking good. For the first time since 2008 we have a reasonable weather forecast as the Country Week carnival creeps up on us. The side will again be in the first division competition. Marchant Park Chermside will again be the primary venue between 27-30 December with a back up synthetic facility at Wynnum Rd, Tingalpa if weather intervenes. When the draw and progress scores become available they will be updated here.
31 December 2010 - Rain rain go away The 2010 Country Week carnival was pre-ematively called off by organisers after continuing wet weather over Southern Queensland made travel to and from Brisbane impossible for some. Despite this, the Radford side organised a series of games against the Queensland Under 17s at Valley District CC Ashgrove. Despite having access to first grade facilitaties no play was possible in these games also. The second year in a row where weather has washed out the competition in its entirety.
6 August 2010 - Radford on Facebook The group Radford Invitational XI is now on Facebook. It will be far easier for all concerned if availabaility for 2010 is confirmed via this forum.

3 July 2010 - The Coup Word is that the leadership of Captain Cupcake (aka Callum McInnes) has plumetted to new popularity lows. The Cupcake's supporters are pointing their finger at the faceless men of Country Week who are planning a coup which may see the splintering of rank and file into two sides next season being 1st division and 3rd division. An unnamed source was quoted as saying that 'The Colonel', fresh from his latest political uprising in the southern Pacific, could see no way forward but two sides in 2010. He has indicated that 'The Cupcake could cry him a river of tears and that wouldnt stop the bloodletting'. The Cupcake's confusing policy on allowing women asylum at the Post Office, his planned 40% Country Week Super Tax (to allegedly fund his stimulus package of new shirts), his oversight of the botched 'I know how to bat' progam and his lost credibility on providing an appropriate Country Week environment all contributed to the coup according to observers. In an astonishing last ditch effort to cling to power and improve his popularity rating the Cupcake has reportedly faked a shoulder injury in recent days.
